Christchurch
Christchurch, the city that seems to have it all- from the hills to the ocean and beyond. We might come across a bit biased as this is our chosen hometown. We moved to Christchurch in 2017 and every year that goes by we love it more and more.
The city has incredible restaurants, funky bars, rooftop bars, underground bars (yes, we love bars), a good social nightlife, great shopping, a river that winds its way from the city to the ocean which you can cycle - or walk if you are feeling fit.
We have a hop-on-hop-off tram which is excellent for learning more about the city, and a tram restaurant which is a great experience. A gondola rides up the Port Hills for panoramic views and you can take a gondola ride down the Avon River, which reminds me a little of Venice.
Christchurch has amazing outdoor activities like incredible walks, mountain bike tracks, outdoor markets and in summer we host some of the best events like the food & wine festival, beer festival, gin festival and rock in the park.
How could you not love a city that has so much to offer!
